Traditional Tibetan Sound Healing
(Duration: ca. 1h)
A Journey into the World of Vibration
For thousands of years, sound has been used in various cultures as a tool for relaxation, meditation, and energetic harmonization. Particularly throughout the Himalayan regions, singing bowls have traditionally been used in spiritual ceremonies, meditation, and healing rituals. From these ancient traditions emerged what is now known as Tibetan Sound Healing.
The underlying principle is both simple and profound: everything in the universe exists in a state of vibration—including our own bodies. Every cell, organ, and tissue has its own natural rhythm. Through harmonious sounds and gentle vibrations, the body is invited to remember its innate state of balance and harmony.

The Sound Healing Session
During a Sound Healing session, you will lie comfortably on your back while seven handcrafted singing bowls, each corresponding to one of the seven main chakras, are arranged in specific positions around your body.
The treatment begins with the Root Chakra. The corresponding singing bowl is first moved slowly along the legs, allowing its vibrations to gently spread throughout the lower body. The bowl is then placed directly on the body and played, transmitting its vibrations into the muscles, fascia, and surrounding tissues.
Each of the remaining singing bowls is then used in sequence. Every bowl is carefully guided along the area of the body associated with its corresponding chakra before being placed either directly on or immediately beside the body.
For example, the Heart Chakra bowl is gently moved from the hands toward the heart before resting on the chest, allowing its vibrations to resonate through the heart centre. In this way, the session becomes a gentle journey through all seven energy centres—from the Root Chakra to the Crown Chakra.
The treatment is calm, mindful, and completely non-invasive. Many people experience a profound state of relaxation similar to deep meditation, accompanied by a gentle internal massage created by the vibrations, which can often be felt throughout the body.
The Power of Vibration
Sound is vibration made audible. When a singing bowl is played, it produces delicate vibrations that travel not only through the air but also directly through the body.
As the human body consists largely of water, these vibrations are often perceived as a gentle internal massage. Many people describe the sensation as though the vibrations flow deeply through the body, gradually releasing physical tension and restoring a sense of ease.
Within science, the field of Cymatics explores how sound vibrations influence matter. Experiments have demonstrated that sound waves can organize water, sand, and other materials into intricate geometric patterns. These observations illustrate the remarkable ability of vibration to influence physical matter and have inspired ongoing interest in the relationship between sound and the human body.
The Traditional View of Sound Healing
Traditional Sound Healing views the human being as more than simply a physical body. It sees us as a unified system of body, mind, and energy.
According to these teachings, difficult life experiences, emotional stress, and traumatic events can leave energetic imprints within us. Some traditions describe these imprints symbolically as memories stored within the body—or even within the cells themselves. Recurring emotional patterns, energetic blockages, or physical tension are seen as expressions of these unresolved experiences.
The harmonious frequencies of the singing bowls are believed to gently bring these deeply rooted patterns into motion. Through the principle of resonance, old energies may begin to dissolve, allowing the body and mind to reconnect with their original state of balance and wholeness.
From this spiritual perspective, the frequencies work not only on the physical body but also within the body’s energetic field. As blocked life force energy begins to flow freely again, many people experience greater inner peace, emotional release, lightness, and a deeper sense of connection with themselves.
The Seven Chakras
Each of the seven singing bowls corresponds to one of the body’s main chakras.
Root Chakra – Grounding, safety, stability
Sacral Chakra – Creativity, emotions, joy, and life force
Solar Plexus Chakra – Self-confidence, personal power, and inner strength
Heart Chakra – Love, compassion, forgiveness, and connection
Throat Chakra – Communication and authentic self-expression
Third Eye Chakra – Intuition, clarity, and inner wisdom
Crown Chakra – Consciousness, spirituality, and connection to higher awareness
Throughout the treatment, each energy centre is gently activated and invited to return to its natural state of harmony and balance.
Possible Benefits
Many people report experiencing the following after a Sound Healing session:
- Deep physical relaxation
- The release of emotional blockages
- A calmer and more balanced nervous system
- A deep sense of inner peace and tranquility
- Increased body awareness
- Emotional relief
- Greater mindfulness and presence
- A profound meditative state

- A feeling of lightness, openness, and connection
Every experience is unique. Some people perceive the vibrations very intensely throughout their bodies, while others primarily experience a deep state of calm, stillness, and meditation.
An Invitation to Let Go
Sound Healing does not seek to force change. Instead, it creates a safe and peaceful space where the body can relax and the nervous system can shift from constant doing into simply being.
Whether you experience the effects on a physical, emotional, or spiritual level, the sounds invite you to let go of everyday life for a while and reconnect with your own natural vibration, inner balance, and authentic self.
Sound Meditation with Singing Bowls & Binaural Beats
A Journey into Deep Relaxation and Expanded Awareness
This guided sound meditation combines the soothing resonance of traditional singing bowls with carefully selected binaural beats to create a deeply immersive meditative experience. Rather than focusing on the physical vibration of the bowls, the emphasis of this practice lies in the healing qualities of sound itself—inviting the mind into stillness while gently guiding the brain into states associated with profound relaxation, creativity, and inner awareness.
Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes, although the duration may be adjusted depending on the group or the occasion.
Whether you are new to meditation or have an established practice, sound provides a natural pathway into a calm and receptive state without requiring effort or concentration.
The Meditation Journey
The session begins with a gentle introduction using seven singing bowls, each associated with one of the body’s primary chakras. Their warm, grounding tones help participants settle into the present moment, release the distractions of everyday life, and create an atmosphere of safety and balance.
As the meditation deepens, the soundscape gradually evolves into lighter, higher-frequency tones accompanied by specially designed binaural beats. These subtle frequencies encourage the brain to slow its electrical activity, allowing the participants to enter a deeply relaxed meditative state.
Towards the end of the session, the familiar sounds of the chakra singing bowls return, gently grounding the body and mind before participants slowly transition back into full awareness.
The result is a complete meditative journey—from grounding, to expansion, and finally back into balance.
What Are Binaural Beats?
Binaural beats are an auditory phenomenon created when two slightly different frequencies are played at the same time. Rather than hearing the two frequencies independently, the brain perceives a third rhythmic pulse equal to the mathematical difference between them.
For example:
- frequencie singingbowl A: 200 Hz
- frequencie singingbowl B: 206 Hz
- Brain perceives: 6 Hz
This perceived frequency is known as a binaural beat.
Research suggests that under certain conditions, the brain may begin synchronizing part of its electrical activity with these rhythmic pulses—a phenomenon known as brainwave entrainment. While individual responses vary and research is ongoing, many people use binaural beats to support meditation, relaxation, focus, and sleep.
Understanding Brainwaves
Our brain is constantly producing electrical activity. Different frequencies are naturally associated with different states of consciousness.
Gamma Waves (30–100 Hz)
Gamma waves are linked to:
- Peak concentration
- Learning
- Information processing
- Heightened awareness
- Complex problem solving
These are the fastest brainwaves and are most active during intense mental activity.
Beta Waves (13–30 Hz)
Beta waves dominate our normal waking state.
They are associated with:
- Logical thinking
- Decision making
- Focus
- Daily activities
- Active problem solving
Excessive Beta activity, however, can also accompany stress, anxiety, or mental overactivity.
Alpha Waves (8–12 Hz)
Alpha waves represent a bridge between active thinking and meditation.
They are commonly experienced during:
- Relaxation
- Mindfulness
- Daydreaming
- Calm focus
- Creative thinking
Many meditation practices naturally guide the brain into Alpha activity.
Theta Waves (4–8 Hz)
Theta is considered one of the most profound meditative states while remaining conscious.
This state often occurs:
- During deep meditation
- Just before falling asleep
- Immediately upon waking
- During vivid visualization
- In moments of deep intuition
Many spiritual traditions regard Theta as a gateway to the subconscious mind.
In this deeply relaxed state, the constant inner dialogue begins to quiet. Thoughts become less dominant while intuition, creativity, and inner awareness become more accessible. Many people describe a feeling of timelessness, emotional openness, and profound peace.
From a holistic perspective, Theta meditation is often associated with releasing limiting beliefs, dissolving old emotional patterns, increasing self-awareness, and creating space for personal transformation.
Scientific studies have shown that meditation practices associated with increased Theta activity may support stress reduction, emotional regulation, improved sleep quality, memory consolidation, creativity, and overall psychological well-being. However, the exact relationship between Theta brainwaves and these benefits continues to be an active area of research.
Delta Waves (0.5–4 Hz)
Delta waves are the slowest brainwaves.
They dominate during:
- Deep dreamless sleep
- Physical recovery
- Cellular regeneration
- Immune system activity
- Deep rest
Although Delta is generally associated with unconscious sleep, experienced meditators sometimes report entering very deep meditative states while maintaining awareness.
Why Combine Singing Bowls and Binaural Beats?
The singing bowls help calm the body, focus the attention, and create a peaceful atmosphere. As well as the Sound comes absolute clear from the quality of precise metal composition of the singing bowl. What means a good instrument is always better than headphones and digital produced frequencies.
Binaural beats work more subtly, inviting the brain toward slower brainwave activity associated with meditation and relaxation.
Together they create a layered sound experience that many participants find easier to surrender to than silent meditation alone. Instead of trying to quiet the mind through effort, the sounds naturally become an anchor for awareness, allowing thoughts to settle on their own.
Possible Benefits
Participants commonly report experiencing:
- Deep physical and mental relaxation
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Greater emotional balance
- Improved mindfulness
- Enhanced creativity and intuition
- Mental clarity
- A profound meditative experience
- Better sleep quality
- A stronger sense of inner peace
- Renewed energy and emotional well-being
As with every meditation practice, each experience is unique. Some participants experience vivid inner imagery or emotional release, while others simply enjoy a deep sense of calm and stillness.
An Invitation to Journey Within
This sound meditation offers a space to disconnect from the constant stimulation of everyday life and reconnect with yourself.
Guided by the ancient resonance of singing bowls and the subtle influence of binaural beats, you are invited to enter a state where body and mind can rest, awareness expands, and silence becomes something that can truly be heard.
